Eric DeFreitas Named to All-Freshman Team
Eric started 10 of 17 games in the Tulsa midfield and tallied three goals on the season, which ranks him tied for fourth on the team. His best game of the year came in the regular season finale against Northeastern State when he registered two goals, including the game winner in overtime.

Schultz
were named the 2004-2005 Female and Male Athlete of the Year, announced by athletics director Dave De Hart at Thursday's athletic banquet.

The Athlete of the Year award is given to a senior who displays outstanding athletic accomplishments combined with academic excellence and involvement in extracurricular activities.

Schultz, a member of the men's soccer team, finished this season fifth in the conference in goals against average (1.28) and shutouts (3) and tenth in saves (69). The 5-10, 155-pound goalkeeper from Coppell, Texas, was named to the All-ASC First team this season and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas Scholar All South Region Honorable Mention team. He was a four-time All-Conference player and ends his four-year starting campaign as the school's career leader in minutes played (6619), goals against average (1.17), wins (52), saves (349) and shutouts (28). A member of two conference championship teams, Schultz was the 2001 ASC Defensive Freshman of the Year and earned a spot on the ASC All-Tournament team in 2002 and 2003. He was a three-time member of the ASC All-Academic team and is majoring in Marketing. "Both of these athletes have been exemplary student-athletes during their careers at the University of the Ozarks," stated athletics director Dave De Hart. "They each set numerous team records in their respective sports and have also been involved in extracurricular activities all while taking care of responsibilities in the classroom. Both have been members of teams that have won national academic team awards. They are outstanding examples of an Ozarks' student-athlete both on and off the field."

Six Baylor soccer players were named to the Academic All-Big 12 Conference squad the league office announced Tuesday. Margaret Kaderli, Missy McConnell, Pat Roscovius and Megan Sherrell earned first team honors while Jessica Hutton and Bethany Vick DuBose each picked up second-team honors.

Vick Dubose, a senior majoring in recreation leisure services, picked up her third consecutive all-conference honor.

McConnell, a junior majoring in business, was named first-team academic all-conference.

Kaderli (So., recreation leisure services), Roscovius (So., exercise physiology/nutrition), Sherrell (So., history) and Hutton (So., business) each earned their first selections to the academic all-conference squad.

To qualify student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 60 percent of her team’s scheduled contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.

The Baylor soccer team closed out its season this past weekend with a loss to Big 12 Conference champion Texas A&M.

Geppert Named Ivy League Rookie of the Year
Princeton, NJ - Brown freshman forward Scott Geppert (Coppell, TX) has been named the Ivy League's Rookie of the Year in a vote by the league's eight head coaches on Tuesday. Geppert has played in all 16 games, starting 13 for the Bears. His team-high 14 points ranks fourth in the league and first among all rookies in the Ancient Eight. His four goals are tied for third on the team and tied for tenth in the Ivies. In addition, his six assists are tied for the team and league-lead with teammate Brian Joyce. Geppert has tallied three game-winning goals, tops on the team and third in the league. He tallied two goals and five assists in Ivy contests, including a one goal, two-assist performance against Harvard. Geppert was named the Ivy League's Rookie of the Week twice (9/6, 9/19) this season.

Geppert Named Ivy League Rookie of the Week
In the Ivy League's first round of weekly nominations for the 2005 season, Brown freshman forward Scott Geppert (Coppell, TX) has been named Rookie of the Week. Geppert scored his first career goal in his first start in a Bears' uniform on Sunday in Brown's 5-0 win over St. Peter's at the UConn-adidas Tournament

2005 Coppell graduate Scott Geppert made the list of 100 Freshmen to Keep an Eye On in 2005

Coppell Graduate Paul Souders Assistant Coach at University of Dayton

University of Dayton men's soccer coach Dennis Currier has named Paul Souders an assistant coach on March 30, 2005.

A native of Dallas and a graduate of Coppell High School, Souders earned a bachelor's degree in secondary education at Clemson University. His study concentration there was in psychology and sociology.

He played varsity soccer at Clemson four years. His team won the Atlantic Coast Conference title in 2001 and reached the NCAA Division I Elite Eight both in 2001 and 2002.

Souders also played in the United States Olympic Pool for under 23. He has coaching experience with the New Mexico State U16 team.

Jamie Watson Signs with MLS Real Salt Lake

Jamie Played two years of prep soccer at Coppell H.S. Earned all-state and all-area honors as a freshman and sophomore. Named District Newcomer of the Year as a freshman and District Offensive Player of the Year his sophomore season. Set school records for goals by a freshmen and sophomore.

Member of the U.S. Under-17 National Team. Represented the United States at the 2003 FIFA Under-17 World Championships in Finland. Graduated high school one year early as a part of the U.S. U-17 National Team's residency program in Bradenton, Fla. Member of the Olympic Development Program (ODP) Region III team for three years. Led North Texas State ODP team to national title

2004 Coppell Graduate Brad Earl

Brad Earl Garner's a spot on MVC All-Freshman Team.
Earl started 16 matches and saw action in all 18 contests. He scored his first collegiate goal against Memphis at the Vanderbilt Puma Classic and added a Valley goal at Western Kentucky. Earl finished tied for third on the team in goals and tied for fourth in points. His 23 shots was also the third highest total amongst the Panthers. 2004-05 Freshman First Team (Midfielder)

2004 Coppell Graduate Kyle Schroeder

2004 Coppell graduate Kyle Schroeder was named 2004-05 Freshman First Team (Goal Keeper) Missouri Valley Conference. Kyle plays for Western Kentucky University, KY.
