Athletic Physicals - 04-13-2008

The Coppell Independent School District requires all athletes to obtain an annual
Athletic Physical, Medical History, Illegal Steroid Use Agreement Form, and
Emergency Medical Form (Notarized) in order to participate in athletics. All forms are
due to your child’s coach the first day of practice. Link to CHS Website Forms Page.

The Coppell High School Sports Medicine program will be scheduling athletic
physicals for $20.00 for the 2008-09 school year. All appointments must be
scheduled through the High School Athletic Training Office @ 214-496-7066.


When: Saturday, April 26 or Saturday, May 10th
Time: 8:30 AM -12:00 PM
Where: Old Town Family Practice
413 W. Bethel Road, Suite 300
Cost: $20.00
All proceeds will be given to the Coppell Sports Medicine program for student
scholarships.

Girls Soccer Booster Meeting - 04-23-2008

The final booster meeting of this year will be on Thursday, May 1 at 8:00 pm in the commons. It had been previously scheduled for Wednesday night, 4/30. The adjenda includes election of board members for next year and going over the budget.

Monday night (3/31) come to Chili's to support your Area Winners - the Coppell Cowgirls! Tuesday night (4/1), come watch the Cowgirls play Hebron in the Regional Quarterfinal!! Details follow for both events!!

Mark your calendars now!! Come to Chilli's Too on Monday, March 31st any time between 4 and 11 and let the Cashier know that you are supporting Coppell Soccer.  Chili's will donate 10% back to Cowgirls Soccer!

Invite all of your friends and ask them to take the night off from cooking, have dinner with friends and support High School soccer:  all in one easy step!

Girls' Information for Tonight - 03-07-2008

Tonight's JV Red Game is Cancelled.

The Varsity Cowgirls will play the first game of tonight's double header as scheduled beginning at 6 pm at home.  It is Elementary School Fill the Stands night and there are give-aways for the first 50 elementary school students.  There will be Beach Boys music and a fun contest at Half time.

CHS Girl's Soccer Raffle Ticket WInners! - 02-18-2008

The CHS Girl's Soccer Boosters say Thank You to the entire community for their outstanding support of this year's fundraiser!

Congratulations to the winners of this year's raffle:

  • Rebecca Neumann won a week in a private condo in Mexico with a ticket purchased from Kim Kirby!
  • The Lupton family won the Botox cosmetic treatment, compliments of Dr. Steele with their ticket purchased from Brittany Redden.
  • Jennifer McGraw won the 4 Gig Ipod Nano with a winning ticket from Sydney Frazier.

CHS Girl's Soccer Booster Meeting - Raffle Tickets for Sale! - 02-11-2008

Tickets will be sold before the start of the Varsity girls' game and during the first 30 minutes of the 1st half on the night of the 15th. The drawing will be held at half time.  Come early to the girls' 6:00 pm game, get your raffle tickets and watch the 'beautiful game.'

It is not too late to get your tickets...but it soon will be!! The drawing for these fabulous prizes will be at the game on Friday, Feb 15. Start the fun with the Varsity Girls game at 6:30 pm and stay for the Varsity Boys game at 7:30. What a great time!!

The CHS Girl's Soccer Boosters have 3 great prizes to offer in their Raffle. A week in a private condo in Mexico, a 4 Gig iPod nano and a Botox cosmetic treatment. All tickets are $10. Tickets can be purchased at the start of the game, from your favorite girls' soccer player, or contact the Ticket Chair: Sharon Kirby at sgkirby@verizon.net for tickets.  The drawing will take place at the Varsity Double Header on Friday, February 15, 2008.  Tickets go on sale Monday, December 10th.  All proceeds to benefit the Girls Soccer Program.  See attached page on the condo.

CHS Girl's Soccer - Lot's of new information - 11-08-2007

The Updated Girls Soccer Schedule (as of 11/4/07) (PDF) is available. Each team has their schedule posted on that team's website, which can be accessed using the drop down menu in the top right hand corner. The address of the game site is given and a link to a map of the area can be accessed by clicking on the underlined location name.

Important Coppell Girls' Soccer Dates for 2007-2008 Season. (PDF) Includes information about early morning practice times, December break, etc. Please print and put the dates on your calendar.

Spirit Wear: Cowgirls Spiritwear Order Form (PDF) Order deadline is November 16th for a mid December delivery. The t-shirts and sweatshirts are also available in youth sizes and larger adult sizes. Please mail or drop off your completed order form (PDF) and check (payable to CHS GSPO) to Kim Hart at 252 E. Bethel Rd., Coppell, TX 75019. Some Highlights from the Minutes from Cowgirls GSPO meeting on Monday, Nov 5, 2007. (PDF)

  • Call the voice mail before any misses at 214-496-6179.  Plan ahead: tutor after school, schedule appointments after school.  If you are too sick to come to practice, you are too sick to be at school later.
  • Travel of the teams is together both to the games and home.  Only in special circumstances should the player ask to leave with parents.  In special cases, the Alternate Travel Form must be completed and handed to the coach before the team leaves for a game. 
  • All parents need to complete the new survey at www.psaas.org (Parent Substance Abuse Awareness Survey).
  • Fundraiser:  Raffle Tickets will sold by the players.  Each girl must sell 10 - $10 tickets.  If they sell an extra 10 tickets, they get to take a day off at practice.  Great prizes forthcoming including 8 days and 7 nights near Playa del Carmen.
  • Booster dues are $55 which gets each player 2 program shirts and their banquet ticket.
  • Pay to Play money goes to the school district and is not under the direction of the soccer coaches.  This $150 needs to be paid by December.  Pay to Play Form

CHS Girls Soccer - Parent Meeting - 10-26-2007

IMPORTANT Parent Meeting - Monday, November 5, 7:00 pm in CHS Commons. Please note the date change - the meeting was originally scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 6, but it has been changed to Monday, Nov. 5. Game day and booster club membership T-shirts will originally going to be available for pick up that night, but that may not be possible. Come to the meeting to find out what all is happening!


Attention All Parents - 08-10-2007

Athletes' parents must complete a survey at www.psaas.org (Parent Substance Abuse Awareness Survey). It's a simple survey intended to inform parents about things going on about which they might not know.

Once you go to the site (www.psaas.org), click on Select District button on the left side of the page. In the drop down box, click the arrow and select Coppell ISD. On the left hand side, click Course Registration, English or Spanish, New User. Register for the course, read the information, and then complete the assessment.
